For its part, the Councillor for Economic Promotion, Evelyn Alonso, stressed that “this is one more proposal that takes place in the framework of the founding festivities of the city, which proposes a journey through the products of our land and putting in value to our restoration”, and stressed that “in this route we will find from a taco of pork with moyonikkei and mayopiparra and gofio, canary mud croquettes in black pork jowl and goat hollandaise sauce, burgers with Valsequillo cheese, and sweet options such as gofio cake or banana cupcakes”.
In this way, Alonso said that “the gastronomic route, which begins this Friday, May 14, has a wide representation of the restoration of the city and proof of this is that there are local Anaga, Ofra-Costa Sur, Southwest, Health – La Salle and Centro-Ifara”, and stressed that “as we did in December, this route is also raised in the face that there is the possibility of taking it in the local or pick it up in the establishment to taste it at home.
In this way, the councilor stressed that “in such a delicate time for the restoration of the municipality, we try to revive consumption with many measures such as this, but always alluding to the responsibility of the population and prioritizing health measures in force, and added that “to avoid crowds, the webapp will be very useful, since having all the participating establishments and their schedules, the user can plan the visit to one or more establishments until June 4, as well as consider the possibility of taking it locally or take it home”.
Finally, the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Evelyn Alonso, thanked “the involvement of the Directorate General of Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands for the implementation of this initiative”, and reiterated that “this is a proposal that seeks to help the restoration, but always appealing to the commitment of society in terms of health measures is concerned”.
