In this way, the mayor recalled that “this initiative, launched in the framework of the founding festivities of the city, and funded by the Directorate General of Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands, has shown the willingness of the restoration to join a gastronomic route that aims to value the quality of local produce and the breadth of our hospitality industry.
“This tapas route, which consists of a journey of flavors through the products of the Canary Islands, offers options for all tastes,” said Alfonso Cabello, who stressed that “the restaurateurs have given free rein to their imagination and propose versions of typical dishes ranging from tapas of garbanzas and papas arrugadas, to tequeños with red mojo, black potato salads or falafel with Canarian hummus, in addition, there are vegetarian and even vegan and sweet options.”
Similarly, Cabello reiterated that “the 70 participating establishments offer tapa + drink for 3.50 euros, and you can vote for the favorite tapa through the webapp, which undoubtedly is an incentive for the effort of the participating businesses and an opportunity to value the gastronomic offer of the city, which is increasingly wide and varied”.
