Santa Cruz will connect producers and restaurateurs of Anaga in GastroCanarias
The capital will be present at the VI Salón Gastronómico de Canarias, from tomorrow, Tuesday 21, until Thursday 23, at the Fairgrounds.
The ninth deputy mayor and councilman of Economic Promotion, Alfonso Cabello, explained that “the stand of the Development Society will have a space in which there will be talks, showcooking, dialogues and tastings given by professionals of the gastronomic sector of the municipality”.
The mayor said that “new businesses, new gastronomic trends, innovative gastronomic initiatives, gastro-tourism experiences and the enhancement of Canarian products, zero kilometer and in particular, of the Anaga massif, will be the themes that will be addressed in the stand during the three days of the fair” and invited neighbors, visitors and industry players to approach the stands from 501 to 506 of the fairgrounds where all the specific programming of Santa Cruz will take place.
The capital’s stand will have a tourist information point and the services of the Development Society’s Placement Agency will be provided, and there will be space for tastings thanks to companies such as Rustiko Panadería, Molino de Gofio La Salud, Quesería Luis Brito, Tortas de Panadería de Taganana, Molino de Gofio las Mercedes, Mieles Laurinagan, Miel de Alejandro Marichal, Vino Marba de Tacoronte Acentejo, Vino de Mora – Telesforo and Queso de las Carboneras – Sotera, counting in some cases, with the presence of the producers.
Thus, on Tuesday May 21, the stand of Santa Cruz will host the conference ‘Anaga treasure of the Biosphere’ by geographer Aarón Rodríguez González; the presentation of the collective of “Chefs of Santa Cruz”; the colloquium between Domingo Ríos, Pedro Millán and Luján González entitled ‘Anaga-Territory of Opportunities’; the showcooking ‘Cocinas de Santa Cruz’ with Marcos Tavío, Aborigen restaurant; and the conference ‘Bread and beer. Mix art-healthy ‘, of the Bakery RústiKo- Agüita craft beer.
On Wednesday, the talk ‘Sustainable urban gardens of Santa Cruz’ by the Huerto Urbano Toscal, the Huerto Urbano Ecologico Añaza and the Asociación Agroecológica y Cultural La Alegría de la Huerta; the showcooking ‘Cocinas de Santa Cruz’, with Pablo Amigó of Restaurante Noi; the round table ‘Hotel Gastronomy’ with representatives of the hotels Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey, Hotel Silken Atlántica and Hotel Escuela de Santa Cruz; the round table ‘Chefs committed to the territory’ with Alberto González from Restaurante San Sebastián 57, Carlos Villar from Restaurante La Posada del Pez, Marcos Tavío from Restaurante Aborigen, Nacho Solana from Solana Gourmet and Pablo Amigó from Restaurante Noi. The day will conclude with the showcooking of Santa Cruz kitchens by Carlos Villar of La Posada del Pez.
On Thursday there will be the conference ‘Eco dining rooms of Santa Cruz’ by the ICCA eco dining room program; the showcooking ‘Cocinas de Santa Cruz’ with Nacho Solana of Restaurante Solana; the talk ‘Healthy is the new sexy’ with La Gangochera de Anaga through Gastrobar Cruz del Carmen and Panza Burro; a networking with producers with the participation of Miel de Taganana; the round table ‘Service- building the storytelling of the gastronomic experience of Santa Cruz’ with the presence of Érika Sanz from Restaurante Solana, Manuel Crusellas, Julián Quintero and Mayi Juárez; and the showcooking ‘Cocinas de Santa Cruz’ with Alberto González Margallo from the restaurant San Sebastián 57.
The promotion of products of the capital is carried out within the framework of the project ‘Degusta Santa Cruz’, of which almost 200 establishments of the capital located in the five districts are part.
