Open the deadline for updates and new memberships to the project “Degusta Santa Cruz”.

The Development Society of Santa Cruz de Tenerife opens the deadline for updating the contents of the adhered companies, as well as initiating a new recruitment phase.The Development Society of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has opened the deadline for companies adhered to the initiative “Degusta Santa Cruz” to update their content, while opening a new registration period for catering establishments wishing to join the initiative.

This has been reported by the CEO of the capital entity, Alfonso Cabello, who explained that “the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 has forced a reformulation of many business models and has required them to adapt to the digital environment, so to support and enhance the dissemination of gastronomic establishments in the capital we have activated these two actions”.
In this way, the mayor has indicated that “on the one hand has opened the deadline for all establishments adhering to “Degusta Santa Cruz” to update the contents of your tab and that can be done until August 31, and on the other, has activated a new phase of recruitment, which will run until December 15, so that establishments that so wish and meet the requirements for participation can join the project.
Similarly, Cabello recalled that “the initiative “Degusta Santa Cruz” was launched in 2018 and aims to energize and promote the gastronomic establishments of Santa Cruz, the cuisine of the capital and Canary Islands products, and includes a set of actions aimed at citizens and tourists to experience the city and the gastronomic wealth that surrounds it, as it guarantees experiences to feel the flavors of the Canary Islands concentrated in the heart of Tenerife”.
In this regard, the mayor stressed that “both the update of information for establishments already registered, as well as the adhesion of new establishments can be done through the forms found in www.degustasantacruz.comalthough there are a series of requirements, which are also detailed in said web page”.
Alfonso Cabello insisted that “this initiative is aimed at gastronomic establishments, such as bars, restaurants, taverns and hotels with a restaurant and bar area, as well as specialized gastronomic establishments, whether individuals or legal entities, and which carry out their activity in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife”.
Also, the mayor noted that “the objective is to position the capital from the tourist point of view through gastronomy, and in which establishments of the 5 districts are promoted, thus providing added value to the product club and that was created to promote the local product and the different business models of restoration of the city”, and stressed that “there are currently more than 180 establishments registered and our intention is to increase at least 30%.
Finally, Alfonso Cabello stressed that “the restoration is one of the most important sectors of the city, so with these actions we intend to support establishments, enhancing and giving greater visibility to the gastronomic businesses of the capital”.
