Michelin Recommendation

The Michelin Guide is the oldest European guide to hotels and restaurants. It was created by André Michelin in France as an advertising guide and was offered free of charge. Starting in 1920, the guide began to be sold, providing information on the quality of restaurants with the opinion of anonymous inspectors. In 1926 the star began to be used to designate the best restaurants, and in 1931 the classification appeared with the famous stars.

That Santa Cruz de Tenerife has a wide, varied and high quality gastronomic offer is indisputable, but in particular, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife restaurants that are recommended by this referent are:

Ethereum by Pedro Nel, San Antonio 63. Fusion cuisine.

Opinion of the MICHELIN Guide: “Its chef, a native of Colombia, defends a mestizo cuisine that shows a passion for the flavors of the world, with the right balance and a special attention to meats”.

Sagrario, Doctor Guigou 37. Traditional cuisine.

Opinion of the MICHELIN Guide: “A very personal house! Sagrario Pablos, the chef-owner, has been able to build customer loyalty with honesty, proximity and good work. Traditional cuisine with local touches”.

Kiki, Imeldo Serís 19. Japanese cuisine, fusion.

Opinion of the MICHELIN Guide: Murals of Japanese taste, unique neon lights, a sushi bar, unusual cocktails… Here you will find a Japanese-based cuisine based on seasonal island produce, which is presented through two menus (there is a traditional and a fusion menu) and two tasting menus (one short and one long called “Tasting Menu”). Kiki). Be sure to try some of their nigiris, such as the Akami-Crunchy Nigiri (crispy rice with spicy tuna tartar and serrano chili)”.

San Sebastián 57, Avenida de San Sebastián 57. Seasonal cuisine.

Opinion of the MICHELIN Guide: “Bib Gourmand: our best value for money A must-visit address in the capital of the island! It is located a few steps from the Market of Our Lady of Africa (also known as La Recova) and is usually full, because apart from the usual tourists it has the favor of the local clientele. In its pleasant and intimate interior, with a contemporary atmosphere, you will find an updated traditional cuisine in which the product is pampered, with fun dishes, generous portions, careful presentations … and the occasional culinary nod to other cultures. The extensive menu is completed with recommendations of the day based on the market”.

Jaxana, Paseo Milicias de Garachico 5. Fusion cuisine

Opinion of the MICHELIN Guide: “It is located next to the iconic Plaza de España, enjoys a modern aesthetic and surprises for its casual culinary proposal, typical of an Asian cuisine that seeks fusion with the Canarian product. You will find dishes inspired by Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia…!”
