
The II Gastronomic Route “Taste the May Festivities” dispensed more than 5,000 “tapas”.
The gastronomic proposals of the establishments Eri & Basi Café, Cafetería Bahía and La Gata Flora were the best rated on the webapp www.degustalasfiestasdemayo.com.
The 71 establishments participating in the II Gastronomic Route “Taste the May Festivities” dispensed more than 5,000 tapas. This has been communicated by the CEO of the Development Company, Alfonso Cabello, who has highlighted “the high quality of the gastronomic proposals and the high participation by the public”.
In this way, the mayor has delivered on Wednesday morning, in the Terraza Parque de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the diplomas to the establishments whose tapas were the best valued in the II Gastronomic Route “Taste the May Festival” and that went to Eri & Basi Café, Cafeteria Bahia and La Gata Flora with the first, second and third place, respectively.
Thus, Cabello explained that “the route, held from 10 to 31 May, has recorded high participation rates, accounting among the 71 participating establishments, more than 5,000 tapas sold, which is a very important figure for these restaurants” and added that “these figures hunt with the data thrown by the webapp, which has exceeded the expectations we had and come to show that citizens value very positively this type of actions that value local cuisine while energizing the city.
Thus, the mayor reported that “the webapp recorded 18,386 unique users and 31,798 total visits, as well as 1,635 users registered to rate the tapas and 1.660 votes cast, which shows that it was a good technological solution and was useful for the restoration fabric and for citizenship” and added that “for its part, the communication and dissemination campaign reached 6,169,504 impressions in total, with more than 23,707 clicks and 501,899 unique users, which also shows that communication was effective.”
Likewise, Alfonso Cabello thanked “the involvement of both the participating catering companies and the sponsors Iberostar Selection Sábila, Fred. Olsen Express and Mar DeNorte RestaurantThe public prizes for which boosted significantly the registration and voting of citizens” and stressed that “this type of action designed for the revitalization of the city, and which benefits both the business community and citizenship is consolidating in the calendar of events of the founding festivities of Santa Cruz, so we must also thank their participation.
During the informative event, which was attended by the winners in the ranking of the best rated tapas and almost a dozen representatives of the 71 participating establishments, among which were North SeaLa esquinita de Anaga, Cafetería Bahía, Eri & Basi Café, Auyama, Tasca el Rebujito, Teneguía Tascabar, 2 Grados centígrados y Tapas del HuertoThe awards were presented to the registered users of the webapp who evaluated the gastronomic proposals of more than three establishments.
In this sense, the prizes for the public went to Valeria Silvestrini, who won the first prize, consisting of a gift voucher for a dinner for 2 people at the Gourmet Market of the 5-star Iberostar Selection Sábila; María José Rodríguez won second prize, consisting of a round-trip boat ticket for travel on any of the direct inter-island routes for 2 people and 1 car, courtesy of Fred Olsen Express; and third prize, consisting of a basket of products, courtesy of Restaurante Mar DeNorte, went to Emilio Ottavio Zanetti.
