Last days of the II Gastronomic Route “Taste the Fiestas de Mayo”.

Next May 31 will conclude the II Gastronomic Route “Taste the May Festivities”, in which 71 catering establishments of Santa Cruz will participate. This was announced by the CEO of the Development Company, Alfonso Cabello, who today held a meeting with chefs and managers of six participating establishments in order to promote and disseminate the attractions of this gastronomic proposal that aims to make visible the wide range of gastronomic offerings available in the city.

In this way, the mayor explained that “the route, which started last May 10, has registered high participation rates, both of catering establishments, with 71 registered establishments, as well as the public, as shown by the metrics of the webapp. www.degustalasfiestasdemayo.comwhich includes interesting new features such as the possibility of creating personalized routes, geolocating the establishments on the map, customer ratings of the tapas, as well as information about the establishments, the tapas on offer, the ingredients and the timetable in which each establishment dispenses the tapas”.

This informative meeting, held at El Lagar de La Noria, was attended by the chefs and managers of the establishments Guannabi, Mar del Norte, La Chachi, Terraza Parque, Baco and El Lagar de La Noria.Cabello noted that “the webapp has registered very relevant data such as 15,635 unique users, 25,851 total visits, 1,402 users registered to rate the tapas, and 1,231 votes have been counted,” and added that “the communication and dissemination campaign has reached 3,237,392 impressions on Google Ads, while on Facebook and Instagram 793,261 impressions have been registered.”

“This route can be enjoyed until May 31, with catering establishments from most of the capital, so it is a wide and attractive offer, which takes place in the framework of the founding festivities of the city, and which aims to position Santa Cruz as a highlight of the Canarian gastronomy, and whose details can be found on the webapp hosted at”,reported Cabello, who stressed that “in addition, this time we have succulent prizes for people who come and value the tapas of the route.

In this way, the mayor reported that “all people who attend the gastronomic route, register on the webapp and value a minimum of three tapas, will enter into several drawings among which stand out a gift voucher for dinner for 2 people to enjoy at the Gourmet Market of the Iberostar Selection Sábila 80; a round-trip boat ticket for travel on any of the direct inter-island routes for 2 persons and 1 passenger, courtesy of Fred Olsen Expressand a basket of products valued at 75 euros, courtesy of the restaurant North Sea“.

Finally, Alfonso Cabello recalled that “the second edition of this gastronomic route is organized by the Development Society, is based on zero kilometer products, consists of tapa and drink for 3.5 euros, with the possibility of taking it on the premises or pick it up at the establishment to taste it at home and includes numerous prizes for customers who visit the participating establishments,” and concluded that “we encourage neighbors and visitors to go to the participating restaurants, taste the wide variety of tapas and check the high quality of our gastronomy”.
