The guide created this recognition a year ago in response to popular demand, which called for an emphasis on casual places that are part of our daily lives, from which you leave with a smile on your face. They are the ones you always want to return to because of their proximity, their appetizing proposals and the good atmosphere. Authentic places, whether modern or traditional, and affordable.
A team of experts from the prestigious tourism company has identified a thousand special establishments of all kinds to distribute its Soletes throughout Spain: ice cream parlors, snack bars, market bars, terraces, wine bars, bars, etc. In the capital, 10 Soletes shine that make up an ideal gastronomic route for this summer:
1.- Bodegón El Puntero
13 San Clemente Street.
It is an icon of Santa Cruz in terms of food house and tendency to seafood cuisine: sardines, casseroles… All delicious and with a touch of traditional Canarian cuisine.
2.- From the sea the grouper
Calle de la Rosa, 11.
Singular reference in one of the old neighborhoods of Santa Cruz, El Toscal. Small space that provides great tapas and a good wine cellar. There is a queue to get in.
3.- The Taste for Wine
55 San Sebastian Street.
For the cult of wine, it is a perfect excuse to acquire incredible references as well as to taste them in situ, in tastings, and the possibility of having a snack in the annexed restaurant (San Sebastián 57).
4.- La Fula Gastromar
Marina Dársena Pesquera
Spacious seafaring terrace with a frank, tasty cuisine, views of the capital. Fresh fish and very successful specialties, such as its ensaladilla or calamari.
5.- La Verdulería
Santiago Street, 4.
A very ordinary place that is enhanced by its healthy menus and its rigor in a tasty cuisine and local products, seeking a sustainable cuisine.
6.- Strasse Park
Garcia Sanabria Park.
Toasts, cheese boards, tropical cocktails and hammocks for those who feel like it. Located in the García Sanabria Park, its brunches are especially famous.
52 Méndez Núñez Street.
Everything is appetizing here but mainly the line of signature burgers that play with different premium elements and high quality buns. Very good.
8.- Taberna Ramón
Rambla de Santa Cruz, 56 (in front of Plaza de Toros).
Spanish and Canarian cuisine starting with a good ham. Small place that is crowded precisely because of the good food and charm.
9.- Viva Maria
Suarez Guerra Street, 20.
A place of worship (since 1979) in the center of the capital for its extraordinary variety of juices with exotic and combined fruits. It accompanies a correct sandwich shop.

A really complete proposal with a terrace in an emblematic area of the capital. Dream cheeses, great wines, fantastic rice dishes… Cellar and distillates, high level.
